Phyllo stack with Grapes and Pastry Cream of Forbidden - Recipefy

500g phyllo pastry, cut into 3 equal triangles

pastry cream
500ml milk
6 large egg yolks
zest of 1 lemon
180g sugar
60g cornflour
50g butter
fresh cream, whipped

grapes, halved, to serve
45ml icing sugar mixed with
10ml cocoa powder

Prep. Time → 20 min

Cook Time → 40 min

1. prreheat oven to 200C

2. place each triangle on baking sheet and top with empty baking sheet to weigh down, bake for 40min an set aside

3. pastry cream:
mix milk, egg yolks, zest, sugar and corn flour

4. spoon into pit over bowling water and stir until thick and pale

5. stir in butter an leave to cool completely

6. just before serving fold in whiped cream

7. place 1 layer of phyllo pastry on serving plate and spread with pastry cream and grapes, top with second layer of phyllo and continue till all is gone.

8. dust with cocoa and icing sugar mixture, serve
