Prepare Blood Orange Olive Oil Cake of Sonoma Farm - Recipefy

• Butter
• 3 blood oranges
• 1 cup sugar
• scant 1/2 cup buttermilk
• 3 eggs
• 2/3 cup Infused Olive Oil
• 1 3/4 cups flour
• 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
• 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/4 teaspoon salt

Prep. Time → 15 min

Cook Time → 60 min

1. • First off, preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease the loaf pan with Butter. Zest 2 oranges and place them in a bowl with some sugar. Try to use your fingers and mix the ingredients together until orange zest is completely mixed with sugar.

2. • Supreme blood oranges: Cut off the bottom and top of it so that it can stand upright on a cutting board. After that cut away peel and pith and also cut orange segments from its connective membranes and break up the segments with your fingers to make it 1/4-inch pieces.

3. • Now halve the rest oranges and squeeze the juice into a cup. Add buttermilk until you have 2/3 cup liquid and then pour the mixture with some sugar and whisk it well. When you are done, whisk with eggs and olive oil again.

4. • Now mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt and add these in a bowl and whisk them together. Try to gently whisk dry ingredients into the wet ones. After that, fold in the pieces of orange segments and mix batter into the pan.

5. • Now when the all the preparation has done, bake the mix batter for 1 hour until it becomes golden color and a knife comes out clean when inserted. After that cool the cake for 6 minutes and then unfold and then finally slice up to serve.
