Pumpkin bread

2/3 cup shortening 2 cups sugar 4 eggs 2 cups cooked mashed pumpkin or 1 can 2/3 cup water 3 ½ cups flour 2 tsps. Baking soda 3/4 tsp. Salt ½ tsp. Baking powder 1 tsp. Cinnamon 1 tsp. Ground cloves 1 tsp. Ground nutmeg 1 tsp. Ground allspice 2/3 cup chopped pecans 2/3 cup chopped raisins

1. Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition; add pumpkin and water; combine flour and the next 7 ingredients mixing well. Add nuts and raisins. Spoon into 2 greased and floured 9x5x3 loaf pans. Bake at 350 for1 hour.
