Red beans capsicum rice

Rice-2 cups
Whole masala-2 cardamom,1 piece cinnamon,1 star anise,4 cloves
Ghee-1 tspn
Lemon juice-1 tspn
Salt
Water
For masala
Red Beans-1/2 cup cooked
Capsicum-1/2 cup chopped
Tomato-1 chopped
Onion-1 chopped
Ginger-1 tspn
Garlic-1 tspn
Green chillies-2 chopped
Coriander leaves
Mint leaves
Red chilli flakes-1 tspn
Garam masala powder-1/2 tspn
Cumin powder-1/4 tspn
Oil/ghee/butter-2 tblspn
Salt
1. Boil in enough water,by adding salt,whole masala,lime juice and ghee.When rice is cooked well, strain water and spread in a tray and keep aside.( Rice shouldn't be sticky,each rice should be separate ).

Heat oil/ghee/butter in a pan and add red chilli flakes.Then add chopped onions,ginger,garlic and green chillies.When the onions turn light brown,add in tomatoes.Saute for 1 mint.Then add the cumin powder and garam masala powder.Mix well.Now add red beans,capsicum,coriander leaves and mint leaves.Mix well.Sprinkle enough salt,cover and cook in low flame for about 3-4 mints.(Don't add water).Once the masala is done,add cooked rice to it and mix carefully without breaking the rice.Cover and keep in lowest flame for 2 more mints.Remove from fire and serve hot with salad or any side dish of your choice.
