Seeded Bread rolls of Meg Walker - Recipefy

450g Strong white flour
1 tsp salt
1 x 7-g sachet easy- blend yeast
1 tbsp vegetable oil
350ml warm water
2 tbsp flour for dusting
1 egg beaten for glazing
sesame or poppy seeds to decorate

Prep. Time → 20 min

Cook Time → 10-15 min

1. Mix the flour, salt and yeast in a bowl. Add the oil and water. Stir to form a soft dough.

2. Knead dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until it's smooth and elastic. Place in the bowl, cover with clingfilm and leave in a warm place to rise.

3. When the dough has doubled in size, (about 1 hour), knead it again on a slightly floured until smooth. Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces.

4. Shape half the dough into round rolls. Make the other half into cottage rolls with a small round shape on top. Place rolls on a baking sheet.

5. Cover the roles with a tea towel. Leave to rise for 30 minutes, until the bread has doubled in size. Preheat the oven to 220.c/gas mark 7.

6. Glaze the rolls with egg and decorate with seeds. Sprinkle with flour for a soft roll. Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
