Semolina toast
Recipe by
1.For batter
Semolina/ rava - 1/2 cup
Curd - 1/2 cup
Chopped onion - 1/4 cup
Grated carrot - 1/4 cup
Coriander leaves - 2 Tbsp
Chopped green chilli - 3 Slices
Cumin seeds - 1/4 tsp
Hing/Asafoetida-1/4 tspn
Salt - 1 Tbsp
Red chili powder - 1/2 tsp
Sesame seeds (optional) - 1/2 tsp
Water - 2 Tbsp
2.Butter/oil - 1/2 Tbsp
White bread slices-6
1. Take a bowl and mix everything listed under "for batter". Now check the consistency of the batter,add more water if necessary (but don't make the batter too watery:it should be thick enough ).Leave for 5mints.
2. Take a bread slice and spread a layer of batter on the bread.
Now heat a non stick pan and grease it with some oil/or butter and place the bread slice on it.Make sure that the batter side is on top.Cook in medium to low flame.Now flip the bread carefully and cook the other side too.Repeat the process with all the slices.
Serve hot.
3. Notes: You can use vegetables like tomato or bell pepper in this recipe.
