Short bread fingers
4 0z soft margarine 6 0z plain flour 2 0z of castor sugar castor sugar to sprinkle

1. place all the ingredients in mixing bowl. knead together well with fingers tips until smooth and pliable
,making a firm smooth ball. turn out lightly on to a floured board. divide into two portions. roll out and trim into two oblongs. about 8 by 2 and a half inches. place on a baking tray covered with grease proof paper. prick with a fork. bake above the center of a slow moderate tempature. for 30 to 35 minutes. cut into fingers and sprinkle castor sugar over them.
