Soya Chunks Roast of Kitchen Snippets - Recipefy

1.Soya Chunks-2 cups
Home made garam masala powder-2 tspn
Coconut oil-2 tspn
Curry leaves
Salt
2.Mustard seeds-1/2 tpn
Onion- 2 sliced finely
Shallots-5 nos
Garlic-3 podes/1 tspn chopped
Ginger-1 small piece/1 tspn chopped
Green chillies-1
Tomato-1 big chopped
Red chilli powder-1 tspn
Coriander powder-3/4 tspn
Turmeric powder-14 tspn
Pepper powder-1/4 tspn
Homemade garam masala powder-1 tspn
Oil
Curry leaves
Salt

1. Boil dry soya chunks in water for 5 mints.Strain water and wash the soya chunks in cold water.Sqeeze out water fully.Then cut into thin slices.

2. Crush together shallots,ginger,garlic and green chillies.Keep aside.

3. Heat little oil in pan and add soya chunks,garam masala and curry leaves ( ingredients listed under "no 1 ".Sprinkle little salt and stir fry for 5-6 mints.Why the soya chunk pieces are slightly fried on all sides remove from fire and transfer to a bowl.

4. Heat 2 tblspn more oil in the same pan and splutter mustard seeds.Then add sliced onions and saute till they turn light brown.Then add crushed shallots,ginger,garlic and green chillies.Saute till the raw smell goes and the onions turn golden brown.Now add in tomato ,saute and cook till they turn soft.
Add the spice powders and saute till the oil separates.Then add prepared soya chunks ,mix well.Sprinkle enough salt and stir fry for 3-4 mints( in medium flame ; if the masala is too dry add 2-3 tblspn water )
Finally,take some curry leaves and little coconut oil in your palms and crush together.Add this to the masala and stir fry for 1 more minute.

5. Remove from fire and serve hot with rice/roti.

6. Notes:Serves 5.
