Tasty wholemeal bread (using breadmaker dough setting) of jamienewman - Recipefy

433g strong wholemeal bread flour
2 tsp salt
4 tsp soft brown sugar
1 sachet of fast action yeast
300ml of lukewarm water

Prep. Time → 75 min

Cook Time → 40 min

1. Put all ingredients into breadmaker, making sure you put the salt in first, followed by the flour. Put breadmaker on "dough" setting which should knead it and let it rise (approx. 1h30m).

2. After breadmaker has finished, turn dough onto lightly floured surface and punch it to knock back the air and work with your hands to make it quite thin and rectangular, then fold the dough in half, then back over itself 4 or 5 times.

3. Roll the dough up tightly so it resembles a sausage shape, then put into a small greased loaf tin and press down firmly until the dough is smooth. Cover with Clingfilm and leave at room temperature for 45 mins.

4. When done, take loaf tin with the risen dough in and put it into oven at 210C (190C fan) and bake for 40 mins. Leave the loaf to cool and enjoy!

“Spice lover, always to strike the right ratio between keeping everything tasty but healthy. Against over-salting and adding unnecessary fat. I particularly love lamb and beef, as well as fish fish and using veg/herbs for surprising natural flavouring. ”
