Thiruvadhirai poduthuval recipe
1½ cup pumpkin cubed
1 cup sweet potato cubed
8 broad beans chopped
½ cup green peas
½ cup Kaavathu cubed
¼ cup fresh scraped coconut
1-2 green chilly
¼ tsp Turmeric powder
Salt to taste
1 tbsp coconut oil
1 tsp Mustard seeds
½ tsp urad dal
8-10 Curry Leaves
Prep. Time → 10 min
Cook Time → 15 min
1. Wash all the vegetables well.
Toss the vegetables with salt and turmeric powder.
Pressure cook for one whistle.
Once the vegetables are done, remove and allow them to cool.
In the meanwhile, grind the coconut and green chilly into a coarse paste without adding water.
Heat coconut oil in a wok.
Add mustard seeds and once they splutter add the urad dal.
After the dal becomes golden, add the curry leaves and cooked vegetables and mix. Cook for 4-5 minutes.
Finally add the crushed coconut and green chilies mix.
Remove from heat after 3 to 4 minutes.
