Honey cornmeal scones

3 cups flour
1 tbsp + 1 tsp baking powder
1 ½ cup cornmeal
½ tsp salt
½ cup Panela Sugar
½ lb cold butter
2 eggs
1 cup cold milk
½ - ¾ cup honey
Fair Trade Vanilla

Prep. Time → 18 min

Cook Time → 20 min

1. Preheat oven to 400F. Grease 2 baking sheets.
Combine dry ingredients. Cut in cold butter, using pastry blender, until mixture resembles moist crumbs.
In separate bowl, whisk the eggs. Add cold milk, honey and vanilla.
Add egg mixture to moist crumb mixture, taking care not to over mix.
Scoop batter into 12 mounds on baking sheets.
If desired, prepare a glaze of 1 egg mixed with 1 tsp water. Use pastry brush to apply glaze to scones.

2. Bake for 20 minutes.
