Tomato upma recipe
1 cup rava / semolina / sooji
2 tbsp Oil
1 tsp mustard / rai
½ tsp urad dal
Few curry leaves
3 tbsp Peanuts
1 inch Ginger finely chopped
2 green chilli finely chopped
¼ tsp turmeric / haldi
2 tbsp peas / matar
2 beans finely chopped
¾ tsp Salt
¼ tsp sugar
3 cup Water
1 tbsp Ghee (clarified Butter)

Cook Time → 15 min
1. firstly, in a large kadai heat 2 tbsp oil and splutter 1 tsp mustard, ½ tsp urad dal and few curry leaves.
also roast 3 tbsp peanuts till they turn crunchy.
now add ½ onion, 1 inch ginger, 2 green chilli and saute well.
furthermore add 2 tomato and saute till they turn soft and mushy.
now add vegetables like 2 tbsp peas and 2 beans. saute till the vegetables get cooked well completely.
add in ¼ tsp turmeric, ¾ tsp salt and ¼ tsp sugar. saute on low flame for a minute.
pour 3 cup water and add 1 tbsp ghee.
get to vigorous boil and mix well.
keeping the flame on low start adding roasted rava slowly, stirring continuously in another hand.
cover and simmer on low flame for 3-5 minutes or till tomato upma is cooked well.
finally, serve tomato rava upma / uppittu with coconut chutney, rava kesari or plain.
