Umm-good lemon bread

1 cup oleo 2 cups sugar 4 eggs ½ tsp. salt ½ tsp. soda 3 cups flour 1 cup buttermilk approx. 8 to 10 Tbsp. lemon juice, according to your taste add nuts if desired

1. Cream together oleo and sugar, then add the eggs, one at a time. Add dry ingredients alternately with the buttermilk, fold in lemon juice and nuts if desired. Pour batter into 2 greased loaf pans. Bake at 350 for 40 minutes to 1 hour. While bread is baking; mix glaze from powder sugar using lemon juice. When bread is done, remove from pan, add glaze while hot. I like to punch holes in the middle of bread so glaze will get in the middle of the loaf.
